Prayer Times is a prayer-time app by Alhamdulillah.com. We do not collect, store on servers, sell or share any personal data. The app has no servers, accounts, ads, analytics or third-party trackers, and it is built without internet access.
Location
The app asks for location permission only while the app is in use, to calculate prayer times. You can also choose a city manually. The chosen location is stored only on your phone so that widgets and adhan alerts work when the app is closed. It is never sent anywhere.
Data stored on your phone
Settings (language, theme, calculation method, alert choices, sounds), your location, your prayer log and tahajjud log, and the alarm schedule. All of it stays on your phone and is removed when you uninstall the app. Backups are only created when you export them yourself.
Device permissions
- Location (while in use): to calculate prayer times.
- Notifications, exact alarms, run at startup: to play the adhan and reminders on time, also after a restart.
- Foreground media playback: to play the adhan sound, also when the phone is on silent if you choose so.
- Do Not Disturb access (optional): only if you enable “Bypass Do Not Disturb”.
- Calendar (optional): only when you add prayer times to your calendar.
Other apps
“Nearby mosques”, email, sharing, calendar and “Rate this app” open other apps you choose (maps, email, Google Play). Their own privacy policies apply there.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
