Qibla Finder · Privacy Policy
Qibla Finder is a qibla direction app by Alhamdulillah.com. We do not collect, store on servers, sell or share any personal data. The app has no servers, accounts, ads, analytics or third-party trackers.
Location
The app asks for location permission only while the app is in use. Your location is used on your phone to calculate the qibla direction and the distance to the Kaaba. Your location is:
- never sent anywhere and never leaves your phone;
- never stored permanently (used only while the app is open);
- never read when the app is closed or in the background.
You may decline location permission and choose a city manually from the list built into the app.
Data stored on your phone
Only app settings are stored, and only on your phone: language, theme, vibration, a manually chosen city, and the dates on which you successfully faced the qibla (used to show a rating invitation). This data is removed when you uninstall the app.
Device permissions
- Location (while in use): to calculate the qibla direction.
- Compass/motion sensors: to know where your phone is pointing. No special permission needed.
- Vibration: a short vibration when facing the qibla (can be turned off in Settings).
The app needs no internet connection. The "Rate this app" button only opens the app's page on Google Play or the App Store.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
